Owens & Minor ended their ANZ & ASEAN Mid-Year Meeting 2026 with charity team building. At the Holiday Inn Potts Point, 40 employees packed 40 homelessness care boxes and 20 school backpacks in one conference day.
The Brief
Owens & Minor’s Mid-Year Meeting ran over three days, with teams from across ANZ and ASEAN coming together to build capability, collaborate and strengthen their connections. They wanted to finish with a team activity that reflected their ESG values and gave back to the local community.
With the whole company in the room, across every department and several countries, the activity had to fit the conference agenda and work for people who were meeting for the first time.
The Solution: Charity Team Building for Conferences
CVA ran two experiences back to back in a three-hour slot at the end of the meeting. No separate day and no separate venue, just a team working toward a shared goal in the same room.
Homelessness Care Box Creation
The team packed 40 care boxes for people experiencing homelessness through our Homelessness Care Box Creation experience. Each box was filled with essential items. The boxes were donated to Jewish House via The Good Box.
Backpacks for School Kids
The team then packed 20 backpacks with school essentials through our Backpacks for School Kids experience, so children supported by Barnardos Australia could start the school year with confidence.
The Impact
- 40 employees across every department, from Australia, New Zealand and ASEAN
- 40 homelessness care boxes donated to Jewish House
- 20 school backpacks donated to Barnardos Australia
- Two experiences delivered in one conference agenda
