Water Works Filtration Workshop

Clean water changes everything: health, safety, and a future full of possibility.

The Experience

Following a short educational briefing, participants work in small teams to construct emergency and household filtration units. A unique blindfolded team challenge builds communication, trust, and empathy, highlighting the daily challenges faced by communities living without reliable water access. Teams also personalise household units with artwork, creating a meaningful human connection to the families who will rely on them. Structured, practical, and purpose-driven, this experience transforms teamwork into life-saving impact.

Experience In Action

Why This Experience Matters?

Globally, billions of people still lack access to safely managed drinking water, with unsafe water contributing to preventable disease and child mortality. Without clean water, families face ongoing health risks, lost education and work opportunities, and cycles of poverty. These filtration systems provide immediate access to safe drinking water for refugee families and vulnerable communities, improving health, reducing waterborne illness, and strengthening long-term resilience. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6 — Clean Water and Sanitation — your team’s contribution helps create safer, healthier futures where the need is greatest.
