What is the SolarBuddy PowerUP Bright Futures Bundle?
It is a hands-on team experience where participants assemble solar power solutions that provide safe lighting, USB device charging, and hands-free illumination for families living in energy poverty. Each completed solution is gifted to children and families around the world at the end of the program.
What does each Bright Futures Bundle include?
Each solution provides clean solar lighting, a USB charging port for device connectivity, and two solar-powered head torches, giving recipients practical, reliable tools to study, work, and navigate daily life after dark.
How many solutions will we build and donate?
Each team of 4 participants assembles one complete Bright Futures Bundle. The total number of solutions donated is determined by your group size.
Who receives the solar solutions?
Solutions are distributed by SolarBuddy through trusted in-country NGO partners supporting communities experiencing energy poverty across Tanzania, Papua New Guinea, Cambodia, India, Vanuatu, South Africa, and beyond.
What happens to the solutions after the event?
At the end of the session, all assembled solutions are collected and quality checked by our facilitator. SolarBuddy then ships them internationally, and their in-country NGO partner distributes each solution directly to children and families living in energy poverty.
Will we find out where our solutions end up?
Yes. Your team receives monthly field communications from SolarBuddy with updates on where the solutions have been distributed and the impact they are making, keeping the connection alive long after the event.
What space is required?
The experience requires an indoor space with participants seated at tables, a projector and screen, and a microphone for groups of 30 or more.
Can this experience be delivered virtually?
Yes. The experience can be delivered in person at your venue or virtually via your preferred video conferencing platform, allowing teams to participate from anywhere while still creating meaningful impact.
Where is the SolarBuddy PowerUP hosted?
We are a completely mobile service which means we come to you! Whether that be your office or conference venue. We host our SolarBuddy Bright Futures Bundle Australia-wide including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.
